Our Staff

We have a great team of experienced and caring professional Early Childhood educators.  There are always staff members on site with current First Aid certificates and all our staff have Anaphylaxis and Asthma management training.


Education Leader and Kindergarten Teacher

Debra commenced with Lara Lake Pre-School in 2005 and holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies.  Deb has been working with children since 1989 and has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the early childhood industry.  She has taught and lead both the Pre-Kindergarten and four year old Kindergarten programs. Deb implemented 'Bush Kinder' with the help of management and the Lara Lake Community Preschool Committee.  She enjoys scrap booking, reading and going out for a nice meal with family and friends.

Kindergarten Teachers

Monique commenced teaching with us in 2012 and is very experienced with over 16 years in the industry. She has worked within a Montessori based Pre-School and has run Kindergarten programs in long daycare centres.  She holds a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood and a Diploma of Social Science in Childcare as well. She loves spending time with her family and friends and going shopping.

Linda has a Bachelor of Teaching (Birth to 5 Years) and has many years experience working with preschool aged children.  Linda commenced teaching with us in 2013.  She enjoys shopping, movies, reading, spending time with family and friends and also enjoys traveling and cooking.
Sam commenced working with us in 2016. Sam holds a Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and has been working in the industry since 2004. Sam enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading and going to the beach.

Kat commenced working at Lara Lake Community Pre-School in 2019. Kat holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies. Kat started working as a kindergarten teacher in 2000 and has previously been the Director and three year old kindergarten teacher of two other Pre-Schools, since returning to work after having her three children. Kat is extremely passionate about Early Childhood Education. She enjoys working with young children and their families to provide an inclusive, dynamic and educational program. In her spare time Kat loves to have copious amounts of fun, laughter and adventures with her family and friends.


commenced with us in 2012. She holds a Diploma in Children's Services and is now studying for a Bachelor's degree.   Tracey is confident, positive and cheerful.  She loves outdoor activities, movies, cooking and shopping.
commenced with us in 2016, coming from a long daycare service where she was working with babies up to kindergarten aged children.  Renee completed her Diploma in Children’s Early Childhood Education and Care in 2014 and has been working in the industry since.  In her spare time Renee enjoys spending time traveling the great outdoors with family
and friends.
holds a Diploma in Children’s Early Childhood Education and Care and has an array of experience working with children.  She has a relaxed and calm personality.  She loves spending time with family, reading, candle making, walking the dog and cooking.
  commenced working with us in 2014. She currently has a Diploma of Children's Services. She has also worked in long daycare services. She loves to bring art, science and music into the kinder program. Some of her interests include shopping, photography, playing the piano and piano accordion as well as watching a great movie or production with family and friends. 

has been working in the child care industry for 22 years. She has worked in long daycare, worked as a nanny and now works at our kindergarten.  Anje holds a Certificate III in Children's Services and a Diploma in Community Services. She has always loved working with children and feels she has the best job here working with your children.  She enjoys singing, dancing and reading stories with the children.  Out of work she loves dining at great restaurants with her family and spending time with her animals.
Brooke commenced working at Lara Lake Preschool in 2016 as a casual staff member and moved into a permanent part time position in 2017.  Brooke holds a Diploma in Children's Services and has many years experience working in the children's services industry.  Brooke is a very happy and bubbly person.  She loves being outdoors and loves being creative with the children.
Hanna enjoys spending time with her three boys and husband camping, building LEGO, reading books and kicking the footy. Her favourite things are: a good book, a good pair of slippers and lots of coffee! Hanna completed her diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care in 2018 after only deciding once she’d had kids of her own that there’s nowhere else she’d rather work. She loves seeing the world through the eyes of children and never tires of the hilarious conversations and hugs she gets at work.  
Christine holds a Diploma in Early Education and Care. Christine loves spending time with family and traveling to new holiday destinations together. She also enjoys cooking and daily walks with her dog. Her favorite part of working at Lara Lake Community Preschool is undertaking art and cooking classes with the children. 

Pre-School Administration:

Jo-Anne joined our team in July 2013 in the position of Administration Manager.  Jo comes from a background in early adult education, working at a Registered Training Organisation where she was the Senior Training Coordinator and Operations Manager for approximately 12 years.  She holds a degree in Bachelor of Training & Assessment.  Jo's role requires her to work collaboratively with the Committee of Management in the daily running of the Pre-School, provide human resource support and continuous improvement to policies and procedures.  She supports our Early Childhood Educators by allowing them to focus on delivering a quality kindergarten program and ensuring compliance with Pre-School Core Values.  She loves travelling to sunny beach side places and would love to live by the beach one day.  She also enjoys spending time with friends and family and enjoys theatre productions and movies. 
is our Administration Officer and as a previous Committee Member, she has a great depth of knowledge about our Pre-School.  She is available in our Office on Monday, Tuesday and Friday mornings after 9:15am.  Angela's role includes the co-ordination of all administration tasks such as enrolments, fees, liasing with the City of Greater Geelong and the Department of Education and Training.  Angela works closely with Jo-Anne and also communicates with and acts for the Committee of Management regarding the day-to-day running of the Pre-School.  She enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, reading and watching movies.

 is part of our Administration Team and works closely with the Committee of Management in an Executive Governance and Finance Officer role.  She supports the Pre-School with the policy framework development and implementation which is essential to our quality assessment rating.  Jacqueline also assists the Treasurer with monthly financial reporting, annual reporting obligations and financial management activities such as budget preparation, analysis and modelling.  Jacqueline's weakness is chocolate!

is a valued member of our team and one of the longest standing employees.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with all of her grandkids, knitting, camping and water skiing.

Relief Staff

Where possible we try to use our regular staff or those suitably qualified from the Pre-School community.

Staff Availability

During the year you may find that you have times where you need to talk about your child’s progress.  Please feel free to approach the staff at any time regarding queries you may have about the Pre-School program or your child.  If you feel you would require a longer time for this discussion, staff will be happy to arrange this.
