Special Events - From time to time, and with parent interest, we facilitate special seminars and events for our Community. A Bit of History... □ Custom Made Timber Playground Structure - In April 2019 the Muscara family of Total Force Maintenance Pty Ltd very generously donated a custom made timber playground structure to our Pre-School. A wonderful playground space to let imaginations run wild. Thank you Muscara Family & Total Force Maintenance Pty Ltd! □ Playground Structure - "The Fort" Installed - In September 2016 the addition of a new playground structure, "the fort", was made possible by a generous community grant by Carlisle Homes. An amazing $14,452. Thank you Carlisle Homes! □ Third Kinder Room Opens - Due to demand for our Pre-School programs, it was decided to convert the community access room into a third kinder room. Commencing 2016 the third kinder room opened up to kinder programs. The third kinder room is a large space with soaring ceilings. □ Building Extension Complete - In February 2012, Lara Lake Community Pre-School excitedly opened the extended Pre-School Building, and now delivers a quality standard of education to over 130 local pre-school students. Our facility has been able to incorporate 2 kindergarten rooms with independent operating functions, an extended outdoor play area that includes a large interactive natural play space with sandpit, dry "creek bed", mud pit, decking ramp, undercover play area and swings. Our facility also incorporates a local community access room which the Pre-School is able to use for special concert days and indoor play when the weather insists. We also have plenty of off-street car parking. □ 15 Hour Kindergarten Pilot Program – "Universal Access" - During 2012 we were fortunate to participate in the Universal Access 15 hour Kindergarten Pilot Program. (From 2013 a national 15 hour Kindergarten Program became compulsory.) Participating in the pilot provided many opportunities and insights into how the new extended program would operate, and how to structure the program to provide the most benefit to our children. |
